This whole waiting business feels even harder when it's not my body that's waiting. Cagney is being very patient with all my repetitive questions ("but do you feel any different, at all, anywhere? No."). But what we really need is a conclusive yes or no from a test kit.
We are two UK lesbians, trying to have a child with a male friend. We are perhaps unusual as the baby will have 3 parents - both of us and the father-to-be (Travolta). We started trying just recently, but have been thinking about this a couple of years, and planning in detail for several months.
We are 30-40, and have been together 10 years. We civil-partnered earlier this year (the UK finally has equality in its marriage laws, but is still desperate not to scare the religious lobby, so we are equal in all but name).
